  1. Hi Guiliana, I agree with what you said about the possible issue with robots taking over the workforce. The technology world is constantly evolving and coming out with new products all of the time. However, I think that robots can’t compare to human interaction which shows the importance of at least finding a balance to the number of robots to human labor.

  2. Hello again, Guiliana! It is very unfortunate to hear that Orlando has the highest death rate for pedestrians. I live fairly close to the city of Orlando and I visit pretty often, so I can understand why it has become a problem for the city. Since there are many tourists around that area along with many attractions and shopping malls, which means kids, chances of citizens being struck are probably more likely. Orlando roads tend to have really bad traffic and there are many cars who go over the speed limit, it’s pretty scary in my opinion, but I hope the city can do something to reduce the number of deaths in the future.

  3. Hi Guiliana,

I enjoyed reading your blurb on juul's and the problem we face with them and their marketing to young teens! It's so unfortunate that, because they don't emit the typical "tobacco" smoke, and therefore don't seem as dangerous as regular cigarettes, that they are being abused by young people and causing a new wave of kids addicted to nicotine. I also wrote my articles using a source in Orlando. Good post!

  4. Hi Guiliana,

I enjoyed reading your local opportunities, especially the one about the possibility of robots replacing humans at their jobs. I definatley agree that the people who will suffer from this technological advancement is anyone who works in a factory where the process could be automated for robots to do. But I would also argue that people could also benefit from this and by that I mean there would also be an opportunity created for people to make the robots and mechanics to maintain them over the course of their useful life. But overall, you chose some very interesting articles that were entertaining to read your summary of.

  5. Hi Guiliana,

I found your local opportunities very interesting especially the "Will robots take your job?" I like how you included facts in your summary since it gives a better perspective on how big the opportunity is. For example, when you included the juul usage has increased by 50% shows how much nicotine usage has increased within the past year. I do have to agree with you that nicotine has become a major problem since juuls have been discovered. Many kids don't realize the damage that juuling causes to their health since it is hidden by the appearance of a juul and the flavors. While it doesn't appear like cigarettes it is still just as harmful. Overall, I think you did a great job at explaining the different opportunities.
