30A- Final Reflection
Assignment 30A-
1. Recalling the moments in this class where I felt my lowest was probably when I came up with my product and realizing how many assignments there were. I didn't think I would have to write so much about the product but I soon made myself think as if I were really creating it.
2. What sticks out as the most valuable experience was probably coming up with my idea and having people think it was good. I was nervous to start this class after seeing all of the assignments because I have so many other classes and other work. I had heard this class was a bunch of busy work but it was pretty rewarding at the end seeing everything put together.
3. I think I did have to develop the entrepreneurship mindset because of all the assignments that made me think very deep. I don't think I'd be able to go out there and create a product or a service but I do know I'd be able to pitch in some ideas and give feedback to others who are thinking of doing it.
4. The best advice is to not procrastinate because the assignments are lengthy and take time. Make up a product or service that you have a lot to write and talk about. Believe what you're creating so it can seem more real and so others can give you better feedback.

ReplyDeleteI agree with the advice you would give students coming into this class, not procrastinating is an important skill not just for this class, but for the rest of life. If you start to not procrastinate now, it will definatley only benefit you in the future. Specifically for this class, the assignments can have many details and requirements that make it very hard to do if you put it off until the last day.
Hi Guiliana, I really like the piece of advice you gave about not procrastinating in this class. I think since this class doesn’t have live lectures, it can be easy to forget about the assignments that are due or keep up with the cupcake every week. As for the assignments, some take less time than others. So, by starting the assignments early on in the week I think it could benefit future students. I also like how you mentioned the importance of picking a topic you're passionate about.

ReplyDeleteI agree about the busy work aspect of this course. Personally, I really didn't care for the blog portion of this course- the assignments weren't really hard they just required a ton of time. I wish this class was structured different, and gave presentations instead. It would have been cool to do 4 big projects for the class, or something like that, instead of the blogs. I feel like i would have learned more.

ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you that students shouldn't procrastinate their assignments because some of them were pretty long especially the ones where we had to interview people. Also, I agree with you when you said that your favorite part was coming up with the product idea, and having people say that it is a good idea. Overall, I'm glad that you thought this class was rewarding and learned a lot from it.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you that there is so much busy work in this class, and the hardest part might have been some of those long assignments, really do take more than a week to do so it seems unfair. I think that the product idea and the concept behind it is more rewarding than doing all the interviews. But the class did come with it perks like you mentions.
